This was a sweet addition to the series. I thought the wrap up at the end was a bit abrupt, but otherwise I really enjoyed it. Emma and JT were adorable characters whose youth and insecurities had kept them from getting together earlier. Their story had a bit of danger and suspense, but was mainly a short sweet romance. I enjoyed it.
I love the series. the author has taken her time to develop her characters, the story line and everything else that revolves around them. I am going through the series one by one.
I liked the characters but they didn't really match their experiences being so naive. The ending seemed a bit rushed but it is still a really cute story.
There isn’t much to it. There’s the outline of a story here, that’s about it. We even totally miss the payoff at the end. Disappointing. I wish she would go back and flesh this out to make it a real story.
This rating scale would not let me adjust the #of stars, Only gets 2 at the most. It's #9 in a series so perhaps it tied up some loose ends. What it didn't do was, it didn't have anything about Christmas at all. The overall plot that kept very highly skilled professionals scrambling was ?? Sorry, not even lukewarm for my tastes.
I usually don't read novella but since this is one in Calle J. Brookes' PAVAD series, I have to. I've liked Emma's sharp wit from "Second Chance" and I'm glad to read her sweet story here. For J.T I have to confess that I didn't remember much about him. But I like him in this book (which is quite a romance than a suspense.) Just hope to read more about the stalker but it's understandable since it's a very short story. Happy to read it and looking forward to read the next one of this series.
holy cow, i love this series!! okay, okay, so i only have a few of them but they are great. you can feel the tension, anxiety, frustration, passion, etc reading these books. i almost feel naughty, like i'm a fly on the wall and right in the thick of it all when it's happening. i did make the mistake of not starting at the beginning of series but it didnt take away from the excitement of it at all. i dont remember any misspellings or misused words.
arrgg!! isnt that so maddening when you want people together so bad and they've wanted it too but always were too nervous/shy to make the first move...WELL THESE TWO HAVE BEEN LIKE THAT FOREVER!!!!
i hate to admit that i'm a frugal spender when it comes to books, you can find a great number of them for free and sometimes i wait hoping something will go on "sale". although, i love this series, there are a lot of them, so i'll be happy w/my discounted ones and keep an eye out for lowered prices.
